Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry
Poland

I am a specialist in laboratory medicine. I have been working at the Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry for ten years, currently in the position of Chief Specialist in the Toxicology Research Group, where I head the Laboratory of Diagnostic and Alternative Methods. I obtained my PhD degree at the Silesian University of Technology. At Łukasiewicz - IPO I participate in research projects in the field of toxicological and ecotoxicological safety assessment using classical in vivo methods and alternative in vitro methods. I am involved in planning, conducting and supervising toxicological safety assessment studies of, among others, pharmaceuticals, food and feed additives, chemicals and their mixtures, plant protection products and industrial wastes. In recent years, my work has focused on the development of an alternative in vitro method for the assessment of skin sensitization and the applicability of alternative methods in the assessment of the toxicological and ecotoxicological safety of substances.
